The Village of Southampton is located on the East End of Long Island, approximately 90 miles from New York City. It is one of the 64 Villages that comprise Suffolk County. It is home to over 3,200 year-round residents, as well as members of the Shinnecock Nation, the native tribe of Southampton Village. Settled in 1640, Southampton is the oldest English settlement in New York State and is named after the Earl of Southampton.
