The University of Lynchburg is a nationally recognized private university in Virginia that goes above and beyond to challenge, engage, and inspire students to succeed in a global society. Lynchburg offers more than 50 majors and 60 minors; 13 pre-professional programs; three doctoral degrees and master's degrees in business, education, music, criminal justice; and teacher licensure and graduate certificate programs. The University was known as Lynchburg College from 1919 to 2018. It was originally founded as Virginia Christian College in 1903.
