About 80% of the total amount of plastic in the oceans is attributed to land-based sources, such as waterways: rivers, canals, and harbors. We developed a solution, to prevent these plastics from entering the oceans, which is ready to be deployed. We found the solution by developing passive Litter Traps. The Traps do not require energy or manpower to collect floating plastics in rivers. The traps are made with recycled plastics. Other retrieved plastics are used to build floating parks, to increase biodiversity in hardened shores.
