FELTRAIGER is an American menswear label based in Brooklyn, New York. The brand is driven by an idea of American rebellion, while individual collections gather inspiration from specific American sub-cultures. We call the brand “New American Classic”, and aim to create classic American garments with updated details. Everything produced by FELTRAIGER is made in the United States in limited numbers and built with the intention of being passed down to future generations. The name FELTRAIGER (pronounced FEL-TRAY-GER) represents a family’s new start in the United States of America. Daniel and Jonathan Feldman, the brand’s founders, had family who emigrated from Russia to New York City in the early 1900’s. Upon their arrival at Ellis Island the family name, FELTRAIGER, was changed to Feldman in an attempt to Americanize it. With an education from Parsons, Daniel gained first hand experience in the production and the design process with New York based companies “Unis”, “What Goes Around Comes Around”, “Mishka”, and “Yng Pro Nyc” before starting his quasi namesake brand, FELTRAIGER. Jonathan came on board with a background in interior design and photography to assist with brand design and management.
