Alvarez Conservation Services handles the conservation treatment of a wide range of art works on paper: drawings, watercolors, pastels, gouache, oil on paper, documents, manuscripts, and all types of prints (etchings, lithographs, etc.). The company treats conditions inherent in works on paper as follows: stains and foxing removal, cleaning of oxidation and deacidification, cleaning of stains and damage due to exposure to water and/or smoke, removal from unhealthy backings like wood and acidic boards, repairs of tears and installing of inserts to fill losses, crease removal and flattening, consolidation and in-painting, lining and mounting of paper.
