Oxfam at Monash is a Monash Club established in 2011 that is a part of Oxfam Australia’s community network. Oxfam Australia is an affiliate of Oxfam International. Oxfam Australia believes that poverty is unjustifiable and preventable and that the present state of inequality and injustice must be challenged. Oxfam’s main goal is to bring about positive change in the lives of people living in poverty. Oxfam at Monash aims to support Oxfam Australia’s goal of ‘creating a just world without poverty’ by sharing knowledge about poverty and other social injustices, and by activating our members to create positive change.
