Mercutio Troupe

Mercutio Troupe is a collective of theatre artists sharing the common values of collaboration, creative experimentation, progressive storytelling, and fostering a community of future theater professionals. The troupe is dedicated to producing an innovative season using a wide range of theatrical styles that reflect the voices of the active troupe members. By providing equal opportunities to students of all majors and backgrounds, we provide a space to bring new and daring conversations to the Emerson Community. With troupe auditions at the start of each semester, we build a company of innovative and multi-talented actors, directors, writers, designers, stage managers, marketeers, producers, etc. The troupe averages two-three shows per semester, with workshops and special events conducted throughout. We work with an ensemble-based structure: satisfying the needs of a project first from within the company. Then, almost always, a project is embellish by the work of guest artists (actors, designers, stage managers, etc) from the larger Emerson community, creating an exciting collaborative balance.
