Australian Professional of Colour (APOC) is an organisation that aims to maximise the potential and contribution of professional of colours by building meaningful connections and developing new skills At APOC Community our sole purpose is to provide a supportive community, access to professional networks and opportunities for professional development. Australian Professional of Colour face very unique challenges when it comes climbing the corporate ladder or starting a business . From creating visibility , balancing family responsibilities, dealing with importer syndrome, lack of understanding of the Australian Leadership culture or lack of personal and professional network, At APOC we understand climbing a corporate ladder or starting a business is not an easy job and struggle to understand how to do it is real . 🙌We aim to close the gap between professional of colour and their dream position, be it Leadership in corporate of starting own business through : 👉🏼Growing Personal and Professional connections 👉🏼Developing skills needed to step up in your role 👉🏼Learn from Open Discussion and Guest Speakers We do this by openly discussing and raising awareness about the various growth barriers such as bias, discrimination and non-inclusion that Professionals of Colour face in Australia, in a safe space. We share stories and wisdom from established leaders in the various field who have experience in managing similar situations as APOC.
