ESN Zagreb is a part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), a non-profit international student organization and one of the biggest student associations in Europe. The Network was founded in 1989 with a mission to represent the needs of international students, thus providing opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students. ESN is offering services to 350.000 international students all over the world. ESN Zagreb was founded in 2011, as the first ESN section in Croatia. Since its inception, we have facilitated the experiences of hundreds of Erasmus exchange students coming to study in Zagreb. We organise a great number of diverse and educational activities for the incoming students in Zagreb which aim to help them connect with each other, to get to know the local culture, everyday life and the beauty of nature in Zagreb and Croatia. ESN Zagreb also organizes informational presentations for outgoing students who plan on doing an Erasmus semester abroad. We get them familiar with different possibilities of studying, volunteering or working abroad and provide relevant information about mobility programmes and how to prepare for student life in another country. ESN Zagreb has over 100 members who are volunteering in 6 different teams - Intercultural Exchange Team, Sport Team, Social Inclusion Team, PR Team, Party Team and Travel Team. ESN Zagreb has engaged hundreds of students over the years, both local and international and it constantly contributes to the improvement and accessibility of student mobility with the support from our local university, the University of Zagreb and its International Relations Office.
