Chairman of the Soriano Projects & Ventures (SPV) Group, JJ Soriano, is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive cross-border experience in business development, finance, marketing, property, real estate and information technology businesses. With a post-graduate degree from Japan’s National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) completed in 1988, he immediately founded PROJECT Corporation (Philippine Resource Organization on Japanese Enterprise, Capital and Technology) and has been Chairman, President & CEO since 1989. PROJECT grew to the SPV Group that has successfully brought and continues to bring together Japanese and Filipino companies and businesspersons for investments & joint ventures. SPV’s business development and investment catalyst activities now go beyond Japanese and Filipinos. JJ Soriano has built a global network of friends, colleagues and associates that can be engaged in various fields & industries. Now over 30 years in operation, JJ Soriano’s SPV businesses include a wide mix of food & agricultural products distribution, in-store digital marketing, digital and social media network marketing for large, medium and small business entities globally, consulting on governance for international & local multilateral agencies, domestic & international human resource deployment, renewable energy, logistics, e-commerce, business development & investment banking, real estate & co-working space, among others. He was a Trustee & the Secretary General of the Philippines Japan Economic Cooperation Committee (PHILJEC) and was Trustee of the Philippines Japan Society for many years. He is a member of the Board of Directors and Adviser of other significant businesses and organizations in finance, real estate, tourism, food, agriculture, distribution, life and non-life insurance, manufacturing, renewable energy, transport and logistics, among others.
