The Louisiana Lighting are a part of the Amateur to Professional Development Football League (APDFL). The APDFL is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion and advancement of adult minor league football teams across 7 southeastern states from Oklahoma to Florida. The APDFL provides athletes a place to improve their football skills and a platform to showcase their talents by attracting scouts from the collegiate and professional levels, and by offering an outlet to those that otherwise would not have this option. We are dedicated to being a developmental program to our players. It is our goal to maximize the potential of our players and staff with the goal of advancing them to the next level of their individual goals. Whether they are players out of high school still wishing to reach a strong collegiate program, or a former NCAA athlete looking to reach the professional levels, it is our goal to help them get there by working with scouting departments to give them their deserved opportunity. The Louisiana Lightning football team is a non-profit community organization whose mission is to bridge the gap between youth and adulthood through winning football and being positive role models within the community. We strongly stress and believe in faith, family and football. Our organization works with community programs such as the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, and we also create our own community involvement projects.
