Bilgi Badgers R.F.C. is the official rugby team of Istanbul Bilgi Univerity. The team was founded in 2015 by three Mechanical Engineering students, Umut Çağrı Turhan, Kaan Mert Yeşerdir and Hüseyin Yağız Filik. Badgers have represented Bilgi University in a number of Rugby Union and Rugby League variations. Most notable achievements include Runner-Up for the 2017 Turkish Rugby League and again Runner-Up for 2019 Turkish 9s both organized by the Turkish Rugby League Association. Bilgi Badgers has also represented Bilgi University in Unilig '16, '17, '18, '19.
