Literacy Volunteers of Monongalia and Preston Counties (LVMPC) provides free, innovative, and confidential literacy programming designed to improve basic skills of our adult learners and their families. In our community, we are the ONLY source of these essential literacy services. Our programs include one-on-one tutoring for Basic Reading (BR) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), citizenship courses, digital literacy classes, family literacy workshops, and TASC targeted tutoring, in addition to offering community resources like the BB&T Lighthouse Literacy Center, the English Conversation Table, and the Ruby Read Mobile Library.
