Alashanek Ya Balady - Suez Canal University (AYB-SCU) was founded in 2010, with the aim of fighting poverty through unconventional means adopting the concept of sustainable development. Not only of El Bahteeny slum area but also the development of the members of the organization. AYB-SCU aims at eradicating destitution in El Bahteeny by the year 2020. AYB-SCU is a leading student organization in the Suez Canal cities, it pioneered in the field of development and introduced a model to be adopted afterwards by different organizations across the Canal region.
