International Programmes Committee - H.R. College
The international programs committee at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics aims at preparing the students of the 21st century. The vision of the international programs office is to engage the student in the learning process and to help the student to adjust to work with people from different cultures. The International Programs Committee (IPC) sternly believes that an international education will help prevent misunderstandings, promote peace, foster cultural relativity, connect human beings and celebrate their common heritage. With this vision in mind HR IPC plans international student and teacher exchanges to foster the growth of individuals. What sets this committee apart is that it gives the students a hands-on experience of internationalization at a local level. It explores the student’s unidentified potentials and helps them overcome their weaknesses and transforms them into strengths. Each program helps enhance the marketing, management and planning skills of the students. It gives the students an expanse of knowledge and experience followed with the opportunity to lead the several programs. It prepares the students for the world that is soon becoming a global village. It imparts to the students a feeling of being a global citizen rather than just a local experience. In its fourth year the committee has increase the momentum and quantum of programs conducted. Keeping in mind the above objectives the following programs have been conducted over the past 3 years: • UKEIRI’s Study India Program with Kings College London • India leadership exchange program with NYU Stern School of Business, New York. • Global leaders Program with Friends of India, New Jersey City University; SP Jain Center of Management Singapore; and H.R college of commerce and economics,Mumbai. • Research and Leadership Initiatives with university of West Georgia and Kennesaw State University, USA. • E-global learning with New York University. Upcoming Programs: • Visit of Senior Business Women, USA which is a delegation of the Fourth Mission to build solidarity with Indian Business Women. It will be held between the 4th-7th of February. • International Institute of Education is bringing eminent educationalist from the US with the agenda of taking forward international initiatives and exchanges with Institutions in India. • Study Tour to Bromley London • Summer Sessions • Study Tour to Canada • International Internship Initiatives
