Made by firefighters for firefighters, Firefighter C.A.N.C.E.R. is passionate about the Health and Safety of firefighters and looks to protect them by providing education, awareness and training in ways to reduce exposure to carcinogens and toxic gases. The Firefighter Coalition Aiming for National Carcinogen Exposure Reduction (Firefighter C.A.N.C.E.R.) aims: 1) To reduce the exposure of firefighters to carcinogens. 2) To arm and educate firefighters with information and inspiration to change behaviours and culture that leads to longer, healthier careers and lives. 3) To improve and enhance on-scene firefighter decontamination. 4) To further support and compound the benefits of existing fire service policies, procedures and tactics regarding health and safety.
