ITA Rocket Design is a rocketry organization of students associated with the Aeronautical Technological Institute. Within the ITA Rocket Design, students build and launch rockets as well as conduct research on various topics related to rockets. ITA Rocket Design provides students in the organization with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained in practical contexts, giving members hands-on experience with aerospace projects. ITA Rocket Design has about 50 members (counting current and alumni) and has launched more than 10 rockets since its foundation in 2011. Over the years, ITA Rocket Design has developed solid propellant rockets of 100 to 3000 N thrust. In 2015, the team was placed second at the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC) in the category with apogee target of 10000 feet. In the years 2011 and 2013 won a prize of technical excellence for the best projects of the IREC competition. In particular, the team developed the capability to recover with dual parachute deployment. Nós somos uma equipe de alunos da graduação e pós-graduação do ITA (Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica), que tem como principal objetivo o aprimoramento técnico e desenvolvimento científico de seus membros em áreas relacionadas ao tema aeroespacial, em especial à confecção de foguetes. A ITA Rocket Design tem cerca de 50 membros e já lancou mais de 10 foguetes desde a sua fundação em 2011. Ao longo dos anos, a ITA Rocket Design desenvolveu foguetes de propelente sólidos com empuxo de 100N até 3000N. Em 2015, a equipe conquistou o segundo lugar na Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC) na categoria de apogeu de 10000 pés. Nos anos de 2011 e 2013, a equipe ganhou o prêmio de excelência técnica pelo melhor projeto da competição IREC. Em particular, a equipe desenvolveu a capacidade de recuperar seus foguetes com um sistema com dois paraquedas.
