Our Story: What's the goal? To achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. Why? Women and girls represent half of the world’s population and therefore also half of its potential. But, today gender inequality persists everywhere and stagnates social progress. Women today are still less likely to receive the first critical promotion to manager - so far fewer end up on the path to leadership and they are less likely to be hired into more senior positions. Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. Advancing gender equality is critical to all areas of a healthy society, from reducing poverty to promoting the health, education, protection and the well-being of girls and boys. Who are we? We at Global Equalist Society are not just talking about gender equality. We’re achieving it by mobilizing people to stand together, spread the word, and change the world with real action. To achieve the goal of gender equality we are basically following three important steps: • Raise awareness • Take responsibility • Take action Our gender-equality trainings provide participants with the relevant knowledge, skills and values that allow them to contribute to the effective implementation of the gender-mainstreaming strategy in their organization or team.
