India Active is a "Non-Profit" Organisation, it has been formed to address the immediate & long terms problems of the Fitness Industry and we all the founders agree to work selflessly to take care of the same. This association has been formed to address the issues being faced by the gyms, gym chains, stand-alone gyms, group-ex studios, functional training facilities of all formats across INDIA in the 1st phase. Current Problems of the fitness industry have been identified as below. 1. Ongoing rentals. 2. Gyms not being considered in the list of opening in the 1st phase. 3. No association of gyms to work on any common cause with the govt. / right authorities. 4. No clarity on the future of how the fitness industry will operate in India in the New World, post Covid-19. 5. Not considered as an organised industry and no representation to the govt. bodies. Our immediate purpose of the association has been defined as below. Phase 1 1. Moving the gyms to the list of essentials and getting the gyms opened as soon as possible. Phase 2 1. Rental Relief of any sorts for gym owners across India. 2. GST Holiday / Reduced GST rates for the current financial year. 3. To draft a policy internally to re-negotiate the rentals post lockdown (as an industry) 4. To formulate the operating procedures for the gyms in the New World and propose to the govt. in order to give confidence. These are the immediate problems and purpose, we together would continue to keep identifying the problem areas / areas of improvements which benefits all gym owners across the country in a non-biased manner.
