The Victorian Auditor-General's Office (VAGO) provides independent assurance to Parliament and the Victorian community on the financial integrity and performance of the state. We do this primarily by conducting financial audits and performance audits of public sector entities. Through our audit work, we make recommendations that promote accountability and transparency in government, and improvements in service efficiency and effectiveness.
