Established in 2005 with the motto of ‘Quiz for Quiz's Sake’, Qutopia Quiz society is a perfect haven for all quizzers. With the underlying mission of 'Once a Quizzer, Always a Quizzer' , the society was born out of a desire to learn more about the world and beyond as well as an urge to share what is known. The society has its roots in the meetings that used to take place in the lawns of Block-A, then in the classrooms of C-Block of KITS College and was initially confined to a very small group but it now boasts of a rich community of both professional and rookie quizzers who meet every Saturday to feast on quizzing, only now, in the KSAC building of KITS College. ‘Udghosh’ is the annual event of this society dedicated to the efforts of all the Ex-Kiitians who had setup the original quiz group of KIIT with the same name. The name 'Udghosh' is derived from the Hindi word of same name and means the blowing of the conch shell which is symbolic of the sound of righteousness before beginning of a war. The first edition of Udghosh - 'Udghosh Shoonya Paanch' was hosted on 2nd October, 2005 to coincide with Gandhi Jayanti (Mahatma Gandhi's Birth Anniversary). It has ever since reached new heights every year in increased participation of teams, cult like following and the cutthroat competition with which the teams battle it out to win the coveted prize.
