Guelph Black Professionals is a new organization, founded to bring likeminded black students together in an academic and professional context. Our group targets future doctors, lawyers, business professionals and engineers, but is open to all academic backgrounds so long as people care about networking and growth. We plan to put on various workshops such as resume editing and financial literacy clinics, as well as facilitate grad school visits and study groups for our members. In addition to these services we plan to hold a few major networking and professional development events each year with various students, alumni and professionals in attendance.
