Established in 1991 and registered in 1993, with boundaries from Mt. Lambert Circular Road to Golden Grove Road, Arouca and the Northern Range to Guyamare River, the composition of members is expansive and includes small, medium and large retail and wholesale enterprises, professionals, banks, insurance companies, providers of commercial and domestic services as well as associate members. Membership is open to any individual, firm, association or corporation engaged in business or industry or a profession (including agriculture) in Trinidad & Tobago and any association of any such members of business in conducted within the stipulated boundaries. Messrs Chanka Seeterram (Accountant), Rafficul Ojeer (Director), Rohan Roopnarine (Businessman), Desmond Ali (Research Scientist), Vernon Khelawan (Journalist), Briglal Lutchmeesingh (Businessman), Francis McQueen (Director), Max Senhouse, Harry Charran, Roop Narinesingh and Harish Udharamaney are the founding fathers of the Chamber. The Chamber is run by a Board of Directors who determines policy and carries out the daily operations of the Chamber under the Chairmanship of its President.
