Girl to Girl: Young Women's Empowerment Group (YWEG) is an entirely youth-led initiative that began in 2015 to bring awareness to gender inequalities, empower youth, and give back to our communities. Girl to Girl addresses gaps in gender equality and works to bring awareness to human rights issues affecting women and children across the globe. We are developing the next generation of leaders by bringing Edmonton's youth together in order to create meaningful community projects. We also organize volunteer opportunities with local nonprofits and charities for youth members to participate in.
