RJC Farm & Cattle, LLC - Craven Beef was established in 2017 as a local cow-calf operation outside of LaSalle, Colorado. Riley and Rory Craven co-founded Craven Beef as part of their official LLC filing in the state of Colorado shortly following a phone call from Riley to Rory with a business proposition. 'Do you want to buy some cows with me?' It took some quick and careful consideration but with an impending move from Boston back to Colorado this seemed like a great idea. Our family settled in Colorado in the late 1800s where are grandparents still live and we later learned that our family had beef cattle in the late 1800s with a registered brand in Colorado. This among the fact that we have the opportunity to build a business together with close support and interaction with our father, uncle, grandparents and other family members all helped to motivate us to take the leap and start raising happy cows in Colorado.
