Canucks Abroad is a creative social media experiment whose goal is to spread Canadian soccer worldwide, and to promote a nation-wide appreciation for the beautiful game in Canada. Our team of dedicated volunteers hopes to achieve this by tracking every Canadian professional player throughout the world. Canucks Abroad’s Canadian Player Pool aims to be as comprehensive as possible. Any Canadian playing professionally at home or abroad and who is theoretically eligible for the Canadian national team, will be tracked on this list. An important feature of Canucks Abroad is its egalitarian philosophy, where each and every player is treated equally, without consideration for their age, gender, or level of play. Once a player commits to a country other than Canada, tracking ceases and the player is removed from the list. Canucks Abroad continues to innovate and expand. It is a constant work in progress.
