Lake Toba Tourism Authority (LTTA), or Badan Otorita Danau Toba (BODT), is a public service agency under Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia which designed as a special institution to accelerate the development of Lake Toba as one of Indonesia’s priority tourism destinations. The establishment of LTTA which governed by Presidential Regulation No. 49/2016 granted management rights of at least 500 hectares of land to be developed into an integrated tourism resort that is managed professionally to implement the authoritative function of the institution. In addition to its authoritative functions, LTTA is also assigned to carry out coordinative function which is to actively coordinate with 8 district governments surrounding Lake Toba as a National Strategic Tourism Zone.
