Student Initiative for Promotion of Legal Awareness ('SIPLA') is a student-led body at NLSIU, Bengaluru under the aegis of the Student Bar Association ('SBA'), NLSIU. It is tasked with bridging the gap between theory and practice of the law, by reaching out to academics & practitioners for the purposes of organizing single-credit courses, guest lectures and research projects on topical legal issues. SIPLA seeks to advance the institution’s standards of academic scholarship and research. This objective is achieved by organising lectures, single credit courses and workshops by inviting dignitaries from different fields of law and social activism.
