University of Exeter Politics Society

The University of Exeter Politics Society is a non-partisan society, run by students, for students interested or studying politics and international relations. As one of the most active societies on campus, we offer our members access to innovative socials and talks from prominent speakers in the field, and study, of politics. Highlights from the present academic year so far have included a talk by Professor Mike Newman on humanitarian intervention, and a panel discussion regarding the future of the Labour Party. In addition to the breadth of socials we organise throughout the year, our annual winter ball consistently proves to be one of the most popular in Exeter. Our political journal, The Witness, is published termly and complemented by the blog. Edited and written entirely by our student membership, The Witness strives to represent a diversity of political views that reflect the readership, and encourage debate. Aside from reporting on political talks and debates across the campus, the most recent publication included interviews with Jacob Rees-Mogg and Ben Bradshaw. To read excerpts and updates please visit our blog: https://thewitnesspoliticsjournal.wordpress.com
