TWMG is The Workplace Mediation Group, a group of four experienced mediators who work together to provide positive approaches to conflict in workplaces. In any organisation, working relationships can sometimes become strained, causing hurt and making it difficult for people to work together productively. Without intervention, conflicts will often escalate in a vicious spiral of reaction and counter-reaction. This can evoke powerful feelings which make it difficult for any of us to respond in a constructive way. With the help of a neutral, trained mediator, those concerned can usually find a positive way forward. Mediation makes difficult conversations easier, and enables people to break the vicious spiral. This means there is no need to resort to more formal and expensive methods such as grievances and employment tribunals. It can also be a powerful and empowering learning for those concerned to find their own way through. Our services can be used in disputes between individuals or teams, at any level within an organisation. As well as conflict resolution, we support organisations in equipping themselves for dealing with conflict, whether internally or with customers or the public. This includes conflict coaching for individual managers or staff members; team coaching and development services for teams; and custom training programmes to build skills throughout your organisation to equip you to work more effectively with conflict.
