Womens Mental Health Talks
Women’s Mental Health Talks is a student-led non-profit organization that provides social, emotional, and instrumental support to York University students and surrounding community members. We accomplish this through our student-led peer support groups, philanthropy, advocacy, and events that provide students with a brave, accepting, and nonjudgmental space. Our hope is to help self-identifying women explore the unique factors and barriers that impact their mental health and wellbeing, while helping them foster the development of supportive relationships with people who have experienced similar circumstances. We provide tangible peer support through the sharing of mental health resources and coping mechanisms that can be used to heal and empower oneself on their road to recovery and lifelong empowerment.
