Youth Work Ireland Meath
Meath Youth Federation CLG t/a Youth Work Ireland Meath was established in 1989 as a response to the growing number of youth clubs in County Meath. Registered as a limited company in 1992 and affiliated to Youth Work Ireland, we are overseen and supported by a voluntary Board of Directors from local communities. The youth service is managed by our Regional Director, who is supported by our Youth Work team and Community Employment (CE) staff and an extremely valuable resource of volunteers from throughout the County. In June 2014, in consultation with our volunteers and young people, we rebranded our organisational look and adopted the national brand of Youth Work Ireland. With a network of youth clubs affiliated from across the county, we also have a network of community youth work projects. We are committed to ensuring the provision of a quality youth service in Meath. The demand for youth services continues to grow in County Meath as a result of the population growth and the demographic effects of the high proportion of young families establishing homes in the county. Youth Work Ireland Meath serves young people in the county, between the ages of 10 and 24, providing a range of social, artistic and educational activities and programmes. Activities and events are facilitated by our youth workers and volunteers.
