The Paramus Fire Dept is a volunteer dept that is made up of 4 fire companies which has a total of about 130 members, who are on call around the clock 365 days. We serve a community of 26,000 residents and a population that can reach over 100,000 with the densely populated shopping malls and the thoroughfares of Rt. 17, Rt. 4 and the Garden State Parkway. Company 1, located on Firehouse Lane, has an Engine and a Tower Ladder. Company 2, located on Spring Valley Ave., houses an Engine and the spare Engine. Company 3, located on Midland Ave., has an Engine, HazMat Unit, Utility Vehicle and privately owns an Antique Fire Engine. Company 4, located on Forest Ave. contains an Engine, Tower Ladder and Mini Pumper.
