We are an academic and research student-based group from the Universidad del Rosario and Fundación Cardioinfantil in Bogotá, Colombia with more than 300 active members. Our main objective is to foment the passion and interest in Internal Medicine through academic activities that allow the acquisition and execution of clinical knowledge and clinical skills in the area of Internal Medicine, which in light of a rational and critical evidence-based approach guided by Internal Medicine physicians, may thus allow medical student to perform integrally within the field of the specialty. Academic endorsement: We have the official endorsement of the Asociación Colombiana de Medicina Interna (ACMI) and the American College of Physicians (ACP). Activities: The main activities made by the group consist of weekly seminars, clinical skills workshops, activities with other IMIG's in Colombia (including an annual student symposium), research projects, presentation of research papers at national academic events, webinars about the daily living experience of the physicians, and a clinical history workshop in conjunction with the internal medicine undergraduate teaching assistant from the peer-tutoring program at Universidad del Rosario.
