EU Funded - Facility for the Implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement
The EU-funded Facility for the Implementation of EU-Georgia Association Agreement II commenced its operation on 6 February 2019. The AA Facility II team works in close cooperation with the Governmental Commission on EU Integration under Prime Minister of Georgia, the governmental institutions (primarily, but not exclusively, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Administration of the Government, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance) and Parliament of Georgia. It provides the high-level support to the Government and Parliament of Georgia in implementation of the EU-Georgia agreements, in particular, the Association Agreement /DCFTA, by focusing on the priorities outlined in the Association Agenda and Single Support Framework 2017-2020. The expert assistance aims at contributing to the policy development, further strengthening the policy programming, coordination, monitoring, reporting and awareness of the Association Agreement implementation, definition and introduction of the required legal and institutional reforms as well the coordination and monitoring of EU external assistance.
