Human Dimension Leadership Consulting, LLC (HDLC) develops and conducts staff rides as an educational leadership developmental tool for private corporations and military organizations around the world. By focusing on the timeless and universal aspects of battle and war, staff rides provide important insights into leadership, military operations, and the human dimension of battle. What is a staff ride for business leaders? A staff ride is a powerful experiential learning method for an organization to train its executives and middle managers in leadership and strategy in the business world. Participants will visit the actual ground where a battle was fought and examine and discuss the reasons for decisions made by the commanders. The conclusions and leadership lessons are then applied to present and future business leadership practices. HDLC also offers a virtual staff ride (VSR) which follows the same methodology as above, but instead of traveling to a battlefield site, the facilitator will have the battlefield stands replicated with the help of virtual terrain and/ or with film and pictures.
