Ellis and Low is a luxury, sustainable knitwear brand founded by best friends Em and Jess in Manchester. We design and hand-make all our fun, original pieces, taking inspiration from streetwear and vintage knit patterns. The harmonious fusion of our individual design styles births unique, eye-catching knitwear for the modern, eco-conscious, slow fashion lover. We have a mix of hand-knit, crochet and machine-knit pieces in our collections, made using 100% wool and GOTS certified organic cotton and we are looking into other sustainable and plant-based materials. Everything we produce is designed to last a lifetime and be passed onto the next generation thanks to our skilled craftsmanship and our aversion to following the latest trends. We'd rather create meaningful knitwear we love that doesn't expire over time. We grew up knitting with our grandmas - Audrie Ellis and Lily Low - so our passion for all things knit and crochet started way back and we've always loved the special feeling of making and wearing unique hand-knitted pieces. The aim of Ellis and Low is to share that feeling and carry on the traditions passed down to us with a bold, exciting edge for our generation.
