Founded as we know it in 1966, Demarest Hall is a special interest housing option at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, located on the College Ave campus. Home to a number of sections, Dem is committed to a variety of unique principles, rather than being a single focus special interest option. Residents run a dozen weekly special interest “sections” that discuss everything under the sun, plan and run multiple large events each month, and work to foster an inclusive living community. Dem is also known for embracing the eclectic and having a long and storied history. We hope that this page will serve as a place to connect with alumni and stay more connected going forwards.
