UCD has a student population roughly 20,000 students of which almost 5,000 are international students. Being such a significant segment of the student population, it was a natural evolution that a society would form to meet the needs of so many people. The International Student Society is the result of the diverse talent and resources of people from all over the world who came together with the aim in mind of promoting social exchange and creating the very best experience a visiting student can have here in Ireland. It is the role of the international student society to create the kind of good times and best of memories that will leave you longing for Ireland long after you're returned home. Some of the ways in which we will fulfill your expectations for a great time in Ireland are specially arranged party nights out in the city centre, day trips to all the most interesting and entertaining attractions in Dublin and weekend trips to different locations around Ireland such as Galway, Cork and Belfast. The International Student Society is your opportunity to meet new people from all over the globe and the society is as much about you as it is about us. We very much welcome ideas and suggestions from our members and seek to give each member culture as much expression as possible while helping you to learn more about Irish culture.
