We Are Events was an events producer company that I founded in 2010. I was the CEO from 2010 to 2015, most of that time I was studding Multimedia Engineering Career too. I also had other different roles in it: brand manager, project manager, event producer, off-line and on-line designer, video producer and dj. As a result, I consider myself as one-man band. During these years I was lucky because I had the opportunity to deal with some important companies people as Cobega (Coca-Cola Spain Supplier), some important Barcelona discos owners as Apolo or Stroika, important dj’s managers and lots of different kinds of people. At that time I was only 20-25 and I had to interact with people much more experienced in that business world than me. On the other hand, I had to manage a huge working team (sometimes more than 17 people) therefore my project manager role demands to be very organized and committed. It was a pretty time when I learned a lot. We Are Events was born in 2010 as different kind of parties where the people could hang out or take a drink without spend a lot of money to go in. Actually, at the beginning it was called Antikrisis Party due to the low prices we offered. In those days Europe was immersed in economic crisis and most of people didn’t have money to spend in leisure, so I decided to start new party concept in my city. Little by little parties became more crowded and the company grew too: from 2 permanent workers to 7 in 3 years, and sometimes more than 10 casual workers at same time. European economic status was changing and the main goal of the parties too. We decided to offer more than only music and drinks, then parties became more than a party: there were 3 music environments, social network polls to select the dj’s and the party’s topic, atrezzo, activities during the whole night, draws, promotion videos… We invest more time and more resources in it, so, finally, we changed the name to We Are Events.
