CFD has about 5 paid on call (volunteer) firefighters and 6 shift captains, 11 career firefighters, 1 fire chief, and a secretary to the Fire Chief. We cover 80 square miles from the Intracoastal Canal to just south of Interstate I-10. We also cover several miles of interstate. From East to West we cover from Highway 108, (by Citgo), to the Ward 7 fire district line. CFD operates from two stations, that are manned 24 hours. We have two unmanned stations that house fire apparatus we do utilize on a daily bases.
