We have developed a mobile application developed as a social welfare initiative as a response mechanism to COVID-19 in India. Our application is focused on keeping the Indian population safe in this COVID-unlock process by providing them with navigation solutions. Months ago, India went on a strict lockdown and now, when the situation is arguably catastrophically unsafe, people are free to be back on the roads, and this poses a perplexing dilemma with only one answer – learning to live safely with COVID. Our app Saarathi is a navigation app that focuses on helping people do this. The app pinpoints COVID-prone areas in India based on 6 versatile factors (mentioned later), assesses routes based on comprehensive algorithms, and finds a path for them to safely get to their destination.
