Hong Kong Students Association (HKSA)
Hong Kong Students' Association was established for the purpose of providing academic, social, cultural and recreational interaction for students to make their studies at the University of Calgary a memorable experience. We strive to promote the Chinese culture and enhance cultural diversity within the community. The Hong Kong Students' Association was established in 1993 by a group of university students who wanted to bring a part of the Chinese culture and tradition to campus and create a comfortable environment for the students who came from Hong Kong. In 1993, HKSA was a small organization with no more than six executives in the club council and 50 student members. Over the past years, HKSA has been expanding rapidly to include over 300 members who do not have Hong Kong backgrounds.
