Inspired by an ancient Egyptian tribe, Medjay revolves around music and the ethics of music. Medjay was a nomadic Nubian tribe that were selected and employed by the Egyptians as mercenaries. They were urban, independent and respected for their integrity and bravery. They were referred to as the brave protectors of peace. And so here we are believing in adding to the legacy of our ancestors, the collective humanity. To the legacy of everyone who died for arts, music and any other forms of expression. We take it upon our shoulders to protect and add to this legacy.
