PREP Scholars
PREP Scholars, an Orlando-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, assists underprivileged high school students as they determine their future after graduation. With increasing requirements needed for students to graduate, such as standardized testing, schools are forced to allocate less resources to vocational and career preparation. This especially poses a problem for students of low-socioeconomic standing, as they may lack the career-specific guidance they deserve to lead successful lives following graduation. Through career-specific education and mentorship, Our mission is to empower students within Title I high schools across the country to overcome socioeconomic hurdles and develop a postsecondary roadmap for their future. Through an engaging and individualized 8-week curriculum, we help at-risk youth discover their professional interests and conduct comprehensive research on which career paths best align with their desires. By the end of our program, students will know exactly which steps are required to attain a postsecondary education and land their dream job. As a nonprofit organization, we implement our 8-week curriculum within high schools at absolutely no cost to the school or students. This is not possible without the generous donations from those who believe in our mission. This January, we will begin integrating our career-focused educational model within an existing curriculum at an Orange County Public High School in Orlando, FL. If you’re ready to make a difference today, consider making a tax-deductible donation through the following secure link: DonorBox.org/PrepScholar Your tax-deductible contribution will support underprivileged students in the Orlando community, transforming their lives and creating a better future for all.
