The Canadian Middle Eastern Council - CMC
The Canadian Middle Eastern council (CMC) was founded by a group of active Canadians who share an interest in Middle Eastern and North African cultures, thus aspiring to build a bridge between these communities and the greater Canadian community. This non-partisan and secular organization opened its doors in January 2016, with the objective to promote and enhance knowledge of the vast diversity in Canada and encourage the preservation of culture. CMC fosters a better understanding of the Middle Eastern and North African cultures and their respective community members. The organization acts as a liaison between members of the general public, immigrants, refugees, educational institutes, all levels of the government, and other institutions to address any arising affairs. Our mission is to unite and elevate our community - and to promote engagement within the greater Canadian population. We believe that harmony within our different Canadian identities is what makes this country great. We envision an empowered and united Canadian community by offering inclusive programs, providing accessible services, and encouraging proactivity, productivity, and stability across Canada.
