The mission of EthansLight is to provide empathy and encouragement to others through our own personal life story, while also building worldwide awareness of Kleefstra Syndrome, intellectual disability, and other disabilities, ultimately with the goal to improve outcomes for families. EthansLight consists of: - Original children's books and music -- inspired by Ethan and his fun-loving personality - Original Christian faith-acoustic music -- inspired by invaluable lessons learned on this journey - Our life testimony -- told through heartfelt true stories, blogs, and original poems Music and Books Underway! - A children's picture book and song are currently underway based on an original song, "Mr. Shadow, My Friend," written by Will McIntosh and inspired by Ethan. It is scheduled to release in 2018. - Additionally, an original Christian acoustic song called, "So You Could Be With Me" is in production and is set to release in 2018 as a debut single. - Selected EthansLight merchandise, with the signature star-embedded ‘e’ and flicker, is also available now. Our Inspiration-- - EthansLight is inspired by Ethan McIntosh, a young, adorable boy diagnosed with a rare, non-hereditary genetic disorder caused by a mutation or deletion on part of one copy of chromosome 9, called Kleefstra Syndrome, that affects him in many ways that pose daily and lifelong challenges.
