Race4CAT is a Catalan simracing team that combines virtual competition with social activities in the real world. Born in December 2016, the team paticipates in the top level categories of both national and international simulation. Many of them are broadcasted on the Spanish television and on specific YouTube channels. Currently, the team is composed by 24 top drivers, including one professional Ferrari GT driver (Miguel Molina). All the drivers are locally distrubuted around the Catalan geography with the aim of enhancing face-to-face activities that contribute to the team building and feeling. These activities include karting, barbecues, excursions and, above all, stand-up competition in virtual endurance races. A good example is the 24 hours of Lemans played by the team at the Sorli Emocions Hotel in Arenys de Munt.  The team wants to be a driving force in the automotive competition in Catalonia. The main objective is to create a powerful hub, which links the virtual and real world, and allows young drivers and engineers with different economic resources to interact, learn and compete with top-level homonyms. In this days, accessing to real competition is extremely expensive, which usually means that only some people can access professionally or even become an amateur. However, the virtual world is much more affordable. This allows eliminating the economic barrier, equalizing opportunities and facilitating the search for talent. Thus, Race4CAT wants to be an open door that complements the current activities of promotion in automobile competition, both those driven by public institutions and by private companies. ------ Race4CAT es un equipo de simracing catalán que combina la competición virtual con actividades de ocio en el mundo real. Nacidos en diciembre de 2016, hoy en día el equipo tiene presencia en las máximas categorías del simracing nacional e internacional, muchas de ellas retransmitidas en televisión y en canales específicos de YouTube. Actualmente cuenta con 24 pilotos distribuidos geográficamente de forma local con el objetivo de potenciar actividades presenciales que contribuyan a la relacionabilidad de los integrantes y a su sentimiento de equipo. Estas actividades incluyen karting, barbacoas, excursiones y, destacando por sobre todo, competición presencial en carreras virtuales de resistencia. Un buen ejemplo son las 24h de Lemans disputadas por el equipo en el Hotel Sorli Emocions de Arenys de Munt. El equipo quiere ser un impulsor referente de la competición automovilística en cataluña. El principal objetivo consiste en crear un potente hub, que una el mundo virtual y real, y que permita a jóvenes pilotos e ingenieros con distintos recursos económicos relacionarse, aprender y competir con homónimos de máximo nivel. El acceso al mundo del motor es extremadamente caro, lo que conlleva generalmente a que sólo algunas personas puedan acceder de forma profesional o amateur. Sin embargo, el mundo virtual es mucho más asequible. Esto permite eliminar la barrera económica, igualar oportunidades y facilitar la búsqueda del talento. Así, Race4CAT quiere ser una puerta abierta al mundo del motor que complemente las actividades actuales de fomento en competición automovilística, tanto aquellas impulsadas por instituciones públicas como por empresas privadas.
