Newcastle University Women in Engineering

The Newcastle University Women in Engineering society is run by students, for students. Our main focus is offering support and community for Women studying or working in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Our aim is to create a society which encourages a community of support and diversity. We run various social events throughout the academic year, to allow for both peer and industry networking. One of our other focuses on campus is offering the NUWiE 'Friendly Faces' initiative, where older students in the faculty are able to offer encouragement and advice for students who may be struggling or in need of support.
