Youth Empowerment through Social Support, Inc. (YES, Inc.) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, founded in January 2019, with the mission of enriching the minds and lives of minority youth by nurturing their social and physical environments. YES, Inc. believes that formal and informal education paired with social engagement results in both interpersonal and self-guided empowerment. Problem and Solution Despite the availability of abundant resources in the United States, minority youth have unequal access to said resources due to societal inequality and inequity. Therefore, YES, Inc. will increase minority youth's access to resources within their local community, with the support of community members, to help them overcome the social, economic, and/or geographical barriers that limit their physical and psychological well-being.
